Maplewoodshop Partners with the Northeast Carpenters Apprenticeship Fund to Introduce Middle School Students to the Trades

Partnership to utilize Career Connections curriculum to grow the pipeline for high school CTE programs

July 26, 2022 – Maplewoodshop, a leader in teaching woodworking to elementary and middle school students, announced its partnership with the Northeast Carpenters Apprenticeship Fund (NCAF), one of the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters’ Training Funds, to help increase the number of high school students in CTE programs throughout the Northeast. South Carolina Department of Education Partners with Vector Solutions to Help Districts Address Student Safety and Mental Health Issues such as Bullying and Anxiety

The partnership is funded through $80,000 in federal ESSER and state grant funds to help ensure student safety and wellness

Tampa, FL – July 14, 2022 – The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) has partnered with Vector Solutions to provide all school districts in the state with free access to Vector’s library of Student Safety & Wellness Courses. The partnership includes courses with short, engaging web-based video lessons covering essential safety and emotional wellness topics. It is funded through $50,000 in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds and an additional $30,000 included as part of a U.S. Department of Education grant.

The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) to Focus on Healing by Hosting 21-days of National Virtual Prayer Sessions

Starting May 27th, these Friday evening Zoom sessions are in remembrance of the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas

 WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 1, 2022) – The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) is hosting short virtual prayer sessions every Friday through mid-October, in remembrance of those affected by the May 24, 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The prayer sessions take place from 7:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.  Eastern Time. Hosted by nondenominational spiritual teacher Aaron Rodriguez, the sessions are offered in Spanish and in English.
