 Lubbock, TX – November 6, 2025 iCEV, a trailblazer in Career & Technical Education (CTE) solutions, is partnering with Mesa Community College (MCC) in Arizona to offer Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit to students enrolled in MCC’s new Sustainable Horticulture Program. Now, students who earn approved agriculture certifications through the iCEV Testing Platform can receive up to 11 credit hours at no cost, helping them complete their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or Certificates of Completion (CCL) more quickly and affordably.

PBLWorks TEACH™ Wins Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence: Back to School 2025

Award marks second for TEACH since it launched this summer

Novato, CA (October 9, 2025) – PBLWorks TEACH™ was named a winner in the Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence: Back to School 2025 – marking the second award win for the PBL curriculum product since its launch in June, 2025. TEACH won in the Secondary Education category, and it won a Tech & Learning Best of Show Award at ISTELive 25 earlier this year.

TEACH is a web-based application that provides teachers with access to Gold Standard Project Based Learning (PBL) project units for middle school math, science, English Language Arts, and social studies. Curriculum units for elementary and high school are coming in early in 2026.

Omar Francisco Crowder to Receive 2025-26 ALAS Scholarship

The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) will award Crowder $10,000 to use toward obtaining his advanced degree 

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 26, 2025) – The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) has selected Omar Francisco Crowder, Instructional Leadership Executive Director for Secondary Schools for Highline Public Schools in Washington State, to receive the 2025-26 ALAS scholarship. The $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an aspiring superintendent (and ALAS member) to help them continue their advanced degree program. Applicants are selected based on need and on their personal statements about how an advanced degree will help them achieve their goals and further the goals of the ALAS mission and vision.
