Louisiana’s Calcasieu Parish Public Schools Selects Teachscape to Help Improve Teaching Effectiveness

District to support teachers and administrators through collaborative professional development based on fair and reliable teacher evaluations

SAN FRANCISCO, May 5, 2014 – Calcasieu Parish School System (CPSS) in Lake Charles, LA has selected Teachscape to support the increased effectiveness of teachers and administrators in its 21 priority schools, those designated as high-need. CPSS, the fifth largest district in the state, will help educators at these schools engage in collaborative professional learning based on instructional data collected during teacher evaluations. KidWind Names Inaugural National KidWind Challenge Champions

A total of 33 student teams traveled to Washington DC to compete in the National KidWind Challenge during the USA Science & Engineering Festival

The winning teams are:

Middle School Division – Wind Surfers from DeAnza Academy of Technology and the Arts (DATA) in Ventura, Calif.
High School Division – Blade Runners from Copley High School in Copley, Ohio.
