Impero Software Hires Senior VP to Lead Expansion in the U.S.

Michael Watt, Senior Vice President of U.S. Sales, brings experience in leadership, business strategy and scaling growth to Impero’s U.S. operations

Austin, TX, Feb. 5, 2019 – Impero Software, a specialist provider of remote monitoring and management software for education, has hired Michael Watt to lead its U.S. headquarters in Austin. As Senior Vice President of U.S. Sales, Watt will oversee Impero’s expansion, including its plan to double the size of the Austin office in order to provide services and support to its growing U.S. customer base.

 Watt brings a wealth of experience in leadership and business strategy to his role at Impero. He has a successful record in formulating strategy, enhancing operational efficiency and leading company growth. He has served in consulting, management and COO roles at companies in California’s Silicon Valley and in Austin.

Immediately prior to joining Impero, he served as director of strategic accounts at Tech Data in Austin. He has also served in leadership roles at CIT Group, Dell Financial Services and Hewlett-Packard Technology Finance. Watt’s track record includes sales management, strategic account management, sales operations, and building revenue generating teams.

Watt earned an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. Watt also serves on the board of two Austin-based non-profits focused on helping children achieve their full potential. He was the past chairman and is the current treasurer of Side by Side Kids, and is the current treasurer of Butterfly Christian Preschool.
