·         2 p.m. (EST) Nov. 5, 2015 – Using Data to Enhance Teaching and Learning, featuring Nancy W. Sindelar, Ph.D.  Teachers are spending more time than ever before testing students, but testing alone does nothing to improve instruction or learning. In this session, Nancy W. Sindelar, a teacher, consultant and author, will discuss how educators can use analyzed classroom test data to inform instruction, monitor their students’ progress, close achievement gaps and motivate students. Nancy currently works with schools to increase achievement through aligning local curriculum and assessments to state and Common Core State Standards. She also helps schools use test results to inform instruction. Her presentations address effective collection and interpretation of student test data, as well as the development of high-functioning teacher teams.

·         4 p.m. (EST) Nov. 12, 2015 – Blended Learning, featuring Nancy Foote, M.Ed. Educators often find that their students master a concept, but later don’t remember it. This session is designed for educators who are looking for ways to make learning stick, and improve their own learning too. Nancy Foote is a teacher and author, and is recognized as an expert on blended learning and the flipped classroom. She is a former industrial chemist who currently works as a math and science teacher and has served as a curriculum specialist and elementary school principal. Nancy also oversees educational blogs on science and technology and is the author of Teacher Resource Guide to Chemistry.
