PASS to Host Webinar to Support California School Districts in Meeting Goals for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)

April 25, 2023 webinar focuses on taking a data-driven approach to improving student learning, wellbeing, and attendance

Brooklyn, NY – April 21, 2023 – PASS (Pupil Attitudes toward Self and School), which provides an attitudinal assessment and intervention guide for students in grades K-12 , is hosting a free webinar on April 25, 2023 to support California school districts in meeting their goals under the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

LCAP is a three-year plan required for all California school districts in which they must describe their goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities. To help meet these goals, many school districts focus on strategies to improve student learning, support the social and emotional wellbeing of students and reduce chronic absenteeism.

The webinar, “Reaching LCAP goals: A data-driven approach to improved student learning, wellbeing and attendance” takes place at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time on April 25, 2023. Participants will learn how to use data to:

  • Reveal the underlying reasons for academic struggles, challenging behavior, and poor attendance.
  • Uncover at-risk students before they fall off track.
  • Save time and money by directing the right supports to the students who need them.

The session will include a review of how schools and districts have used this data-driven approach to address LCAP goals.

“Having the right data can help school districts clearly identify non-academic barriers to learning – something that is a focus for districts in California related to their LCAP goals,” said Jodi Peters, PASS Manager. “Our upcoming webinar will provide valuable insight about how a data-driven approach can help districts direct their time to the most effective solutions to support students and reach their goals.”
