About the keynote speakers:

Scarlett Lewis, founder of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement, will discuss the global nonprofit organization she created to cultivate a culture of love, resilience, and connection in schools, homes and communities. She will share with participants how to integrate social-emotional practices in their daily lives and in classrooms through understanding and practicing the transformative Choose Love Formula (Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion-in-Action). Participants will be empowered to take a proactive hands-on approach to transforming their classrooms, homes and communities into positive learning environments to effectively support the needs of their students.

Kamilah Drummond-Forrester is a speaker, consultant and workshop presenter on topics such as social and emotional learning, educational equity, anti-racism and self-care. She is the founder and principal consultant at KDRUMM Consulting LLC, former director of Open Circle, board member of SEL4MA and the SEL Providers Association, and a trained leader with the National SEED Project. Drummond-Forrester’s session will discuss the need to be intentional about how to implement and facilitate SEL in a way that supports wholeness, bridge building and belonging for all. She will walk participants through where we've been and how to collectively build an SEL legacy that affirms, inspires and heals.

In addition to the keynote speakers, the Summit includes a plenary session with Molly Gosline, founder and lead consultant of SEL School Consulting and director of SEL4IL, and 20 unique sessions divided into four topic strands: Differentiated Techniques to Support your SEL Program, Creating Legacy Leaders, Building Social Emotional Learning Communities, and Mapping SEL to District Initiatives.
