Curriculum Associates’ Regional Vice President of Government Relations Amy Riker Elected to Second Term on Association of Test Publishers Board
Riker will help the association continue to advocate for increased equity, integrity, and learning in the assessment industry
NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., November 2, 2021—The Association of Test Publishers (ATP), the leading international organization for publishers of assessment programs, has named Amy Riker, regional vice president of government relations at Curriculum Associates, to its 2022 Board of Directors. Riker, who is now in her second two-year term on the board, will continue to focus on expanding ATP’s influence and relevance aligned with the association’s mission of promoting and developing testing and assessment best practices.

Harris, CEO of the ATP. “Amy Riker was integral in bringing awareness of edtech and accessibility issues to the forefront of the Association, and I look forward to working with her on goals and activities that facilitate dialogue and encourage the assessment industry to take up these and other challenges in the education arena."
Representing leading publishers and assessment service providers in the testing industry, the ATP promotes high-quality programs among members—as well as among the entire assessment community—through highly regarded global events, advocacy work, best-practice guidance documents, and networking opportunities. The ATP’s three core tasks include representing the general interests and welfare of its members and the assessment industry, providing members with current information on industry-related issues, and, when possible, establishing a unified position among members on key industry issues.

In addition to the Board of Directors, Riker serves on a range of committees for ATP, including the Marketing and Planning Committees for both E-ATP and Innovations. Prior to her first term on the board, Riker served as the chair of the ATP Education Division leading initiatives to increase communication among members and to improve cross-divisional collaboration.
Riker brings more than 15 years of leadership in the assessment industry to her role at the ATP. This includes her work at Curriculum Associates where she drives strategy and policy goals for a group of states and key organizations. Prior to this, Riker served as the director for state solutions at NWEA, and as the former national executive director at the Educational Testing Service. Riker has additionally led international business development of both cognitive and non-conative large-scale assessment programs.
Riker earned a B.S. in Business Management and an M.A. in Education from the University of Phoenix. She is currently completing her doctorate in management at the same institution, focusing her dissertation on the economic impacts gained by providing access to technology behind prison walls to increase education levels and offering certification programs to improve outcomes and reduce recidivism for youth and adults who are incarcerated.
